GS U13 Girls Red – CGSL L3 League and League Cup Champions!The U13 Girls Red team ended their season on a high note, beating Ajax United Roadrunners 1-0 in the finals. It was a tremendously successful season as the girls were recently crowned CGSL L3 League Champs as well. The team's league record was 11-1-2.
U9 Boys Red...YRSL League CHAMPIONS!Congratulations to Coach Riga and Romano for a perfect season. With an undefeated season record, division championship, and North Toronto Tournament Championship under their belts, the club defeated the defending champions, Aurora, 7 to 2 in the Semi Finals of the YRSL Cup. The next day, they played Unionville, who had defeated Woodbridge in their semi finals, with the Sun Devils winning the YRSL Cup Finals, 3 to 1. We finished the season 19-0. WAY TO GO SUN DEVILS!!!!
U9 Boys Red...North Toronto Mini Cup CHAMPIONS!
The boys lost 2-0 to North Toronto early on in the tournament, despite outplaying them. This put them in a bad spot,
having to beat one of the top teams in Toronto. Losing 2-0 half way through the first
half, the Sun Devils seemed out of the tournament. However, they showed incredible
heart in coming back to win 5-4. In order
to qualify for a play-off spot, the Sun Devils had to win their next game by a
differential of 7 goals. 7-0 later, the team had accomplished their mission.
In the semi's against the Toronto Eagles, the boys came out flying with 2 goals in the first half, dominating
the game, including a saved penalty shot by the keeper, to win 3-0. In the finals, we faced
Mooredale who had beaten us in the finals of last year's Georgetown Tournament. Our boys wanted this
rematch badly, and came out strong, defeating Mooredale 2-1, to

GS U10 Girls are North Toronto Mini Cup champions
The U10 Girls started this past weekend on a mission to finish a task they couldn't last year. We went back to the North Toronto Mini Cup (where we lost in penalty kicks in the finals last year) to claim what was rightfully ours. The girls went 5-0 in the round robin with 12 goals for, 3 against and finishing first in the group. In between our last game and the finals, all the girls cheered on the U9 Boys who beat Moorehead in the finals 2-1. The Glen Shields fans were so loud, everyone stopped to look and were in awe of the support. The win by the boys motivated our girls who dominated the final and with 10 minutes left, we got the only goal we needed to claim the title with a 1-0 win over The Toronto Eagles. Again, it is a testament to the Technical Program Glen Shields has. It is the best around, bar none! Both the U9 Boys and our U10 Girls keep getting better and both are having great seasons.

Georgetown Tournament BU8 Gold Division Champions - Glen Shields Sun Devils BU8
We proved to be a dominant force at the tourney by being the only Gold Division team to go undefeated. All of the opponents we faced had no choice but to play the long ball and hope for the best. Our defense stepped up huge conceding only 5 goals the whole tournament and our offense forced other teams to fall back and defend; at times putting double and triple coverage on our forwards and that was still not enough to stop us. The boys kept calm and cool under the pressure showing control and a well thought out attack. The defenders played up and supported the attack also while guarding against the counter attack. Aside from a one hour delay due to rain, the weekend was beautiful & sunny. Congratulations, Boys! ~ Coach Pat
