Glen Shields Sun Devils Uniform
The Glen Shields Soccer Club is very proud to have a reputation as one of the most professionally
operated and managed soccer clubs in Ontario (Canada). The Club has adopted and maintained one
uniform since being established in 1984 and is identified on and off the field by the Milan
Red & Black stripes. In order to preserve and protect this reputation, it is a strict policy of
the Sun Devils that all teams abide by the following guidelines for practices, games and tournaments.Uniform Requirements
Primary Uniform: Red & Black Stripe Jersey, black shorts and black socksSecondary Uniform: White Jersey, black shorts and black socks
Tertiary Uniform: White Jersey, white shorts and white socks
The secondary and tertiary uniforms are only to be worn in case of a conflict.
- League Play – Always wear the primary uniform unless it is a conflict, as the home team is required by league rules to change and in that case use the secondary uniform
- Tournaments – Always wear primary uniform; change only when tournament rules require...negotiate with opponent for all Championship games
- Undershorts / tights – Must match colour of shorts...black or white
- Long Sleeve – Must be black
Practice/Training Uniform/Equipment
- Sun Devils red practice top, black shorts, black socks, Equipment Supplier Soccer Ball
- Sun Devils warm-ups worn on cold-weather games
- Sun Devils rain jacket worn on days of inclement weather
- Sun Devils fleece sweatshirt may only be worn at practice
Whenever a player of the Glen Shields Sun Devils is in uniform on or off the field, s/he is representing not only the Club today, but our past Alumni (Administrators, Coaches, Players and Parents) who helped create, develop and nurture our Club’s traditions and history to the level of play and professionalism it is today. 'Our Actions and Behaviour today are how we are remembered tomorrow.'
- Bring all uniform equipment to every game including all uniform shirts, shorts, socks, shoes
(cleats and turf depending on conditions), warm-up shirts, warm-up suits and tape.
- Jerseys must always be tucked into shorts whenever you are wearing the uniform
(not just during the game). Undershorts/tights must be the same color as the shorts,
not extend below the uniform shorts and not be visible.
- Players should be dressed alike during team warm-ups before games.
- Uniform socks will be pulled up whenever you have them on. Shin guards must always be covered by socks.
- Arrive at games looking professional (i.e. Team Warm-Up Suit, Team Warm-Up Shirt). No Baseball Caps!!!
- Have your equipment bag with you at all practices and games. Put bags carefully in a row on the sidelines at all games. Keep bags in a proper team location at practice.
